Forecasting remains the number one challenge for treasury departments in our corporate treasury surveys this year. Although strong forecasting can be a considerable asset in the Treasurer’s ability to effectively manage daily cash and to contribute at a more strategic level, there are significant obstacles.
For Treasury, accurate forecasting is key to your near-term cash management activities, liquidity decisioning, and longer term for hedging effectiveness.
We will be joined by Bob Stark of Kyriba as we review the different types of forecasts, approaches to data gathering/modeling/compilation and finally the use of technology to improve forecasting.
